Dropseed Native Plant Nursery acknowledges that we grow plants on the traditional and treaty territory of the Michi Saagiig (Mississauga Anishinaabeg) and Chippewa Nations, collectively known as the Williams Treaties First Nations. This land is home to many Indigenous peoples, including the Kanyen’kehá (Mohawk) Nation of Tyendinaga, located on the north shore of the Bay of Quinte.
We are dedicated to learning the truth about the Canadian government’s treatment of First Nations peoples and educating others about this history through our programming and educational efforts at the nursery. As we grow plants that belong on this land, and build relationships with people who care for the plants, we make concerted efforts to decolonize the landscape industry, one plant at a time.
Native plants are our passion. Offering numerous benefits such as low maintenance, drought resistance, and support for local wildlife, native plants are well-adapted to our local climate and soil, ensuring that your garden thrives with minimal intervention. Whether you're looking to create a vibrant wildflower meadow, a serene woodland garden, a rain garden or a lush backyard haven, we can help you find a perfect solution to enhance your outdoor space while promoting ecological balance. We offer many different species of perennial flowers, grasses, shrubs and trees.
